What is an optical array?
The optical array, also referred to as a fiber array (FA), utilizes a V-shaped groove base plate. It configures the fiber or fiber bundle onto the base plate at specified intervals. The processing involves placing the bare fiber portion into a V-shaped groove component. This is achieved by applying pressure through an additive component and bonding with adhesive agents. Finally, the surface is milled and polished to the desired precision.
